Dr. Burge joined Miami's CSE department in 2005 after completing her PhD at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Her undergraduate work was performed at Michigan Technological University. Prior to joining Miami, she worked for over 20 years as a software engineer and AI researcher. Her research interests include design rationale, software engineering, artificial intelligence in design, and knowledge elicitation.
